The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) today was unchanged again at 1,382 points. Top gainers and losers for the day are F&N(+RM0.7) Nestle (+RM0.5), and Carlsberg (-RM0.8), and HEIM Industries (-RM0.8) respectively.

This marks the 2nd day in a row that the market has been unchanged. Most investors are waiting to see what is the PM’s announcement tomorrow, possibly regarding the MCO. Health experts have been calling for MCO extension possibly until the end of May 2020. However, I think what is on investor’s mind now is how are companies’ earnings being affected for the 1Q 2020, when they come out next month.

For the Malaysian companies I am keeping track with a Buy call, most of them are still up. The best performing companies in terms of share price are Lotte Chemical Titan (31.4%), Padini (13.3%) and Bermaz Auto (14.7%). To date, the portfolio of companies I am keeping track on have improved to 5.3% return (23 April 2019: 4.8%). You can have a look at the companies I am keeping track on in the Google Excel sheet here or the table below.
